This was a high quality entry talking about a subject rarely discussed in depth elsewhere. This was almost of national BBC quality, but it was done in a lively and local manner. Judge; Podcast of the Year (Bronze: Talking Men), Community Radio Awards 2017.

National Diploma Standard

Matt studied a National Diploma in Media (Radio Broadcasting) at Cambridge Regional College (2003-2005). As part of the course, an RSL radio station was run for both years for 2 weeks as a final major project. Matt was the station manager. The station was called 87.7 Flava FM.

Matt completed the course with Distinction, Distinction, Merit (equivalent of 2 A's and a B at A-Level).

The station's on air branding is good. The sung jingles and idents are very strong. The use of music beds is also really good. Judge; Station Sound of the Year (Bronze: Cambridge 105 Radio), Community Radio Awards 2016.
